Yet I do NOT trust that you will give me the strength and ability to get through this difficulty, and I do not believe that you have ordained it for my good. I am placing aside all of your promises to care for me even as you care for the sparrows... and I am essentially turning my back on you." I listened again to "Can You Sleep When the Wind Blows" on the way in to work today. Is our faith a firm enough foundation to weather us through this storm? When the wind blows, do we question God and run from Him and His word? Or do we run TO Him, resting in His promises & submitting to His will for us, even thanking Him for sending the hardship? This is what separates us from the world, and those who do not believe. I will choose to be thankful for what God is sending us, and seek to become more like Christ through this hardship.
